Cricket today

At cricket today we played the Cornwall club. As soon we got to the field at our club, we ran so fast to the field. 

My brothers Kodi, Daniel and I got new cricket clothes from our nana. I was surprised when we got our new clothes. Daniel did not wear his new clothes today. 

I felt confident at the game. The coached said I bowled really well today. I am proud of myself.

Writing compound sentences.

Today my aunty taught me about compound sentences. A compound sentence has two ideas joined by a joining word or a conjunction. I am trying my best to write some compound sentences today. Here are some I was able to write. 

• I went to the shop and went to the swimming pools. 
• I went fishing today but I did not catch any fish. 
• We went to other fishing spots and we still didn't catch any fish. 

Simple sentences

I learnt to do simple sentences tonight. A simple sentence is when you write one idea. 

Example

1. I went to the beach.

Kiwilele festival

Today I went to a Kiwilele festival. I saw lots of people and my family. 

I ate a hot dog. It was so yummy.

A Kiwilele Festival is when schools play ukulele songs. 

I was surprised that we were in a big stadium.

I like reading

I like to read because it is fun. My favourite book is Matilda. My aunty read the book to me and my brother Kodi. 

Matilda is about a little girl who lived with her mean family. Her father is the meanest in the family. Matilda's teacher Miss Honey is kind to her. 

Matilda is a very smart girl and has special powers. I wish I had special powers like her.

My birthday

On my birthday, all my family, my cousins Fale, Amy and Elijah and my brothers and sisters played musical statues. I was the winner. I felt so happy.

My birthday cake was a banana cake with chocolate icing. It was so delicious. 

We ate bbq for dinner. We had cake and ice cream for dessert. 

I felt amazing about my birthday. My presents were two Nerf Fortnite blasters. 

Playing cricket

Today I played my first game of cricket. I play for the Ellerslie Cricket club. My brother Kodi and I are in the same team. I liked batting and bowling at cricket. I am excited for my next game.
