 Its cool to be kind

Today I did the it's cool to be kind activity. I had to find a kind comment on my blog and then reply. I chose to reply to Elle's comment because it was very kind and she gave me bonus points.

 3D Paper

Today I learnt how to fold paper to make a 3d shape. I chose to do the cup. You can use the cup for drinks but I want to use my cup to serve pop corn when my cousins come over for movies.

 Today I was learning how to say what is the weather like in Te Reo Maori. 

I learnt how to say:

hot - pūāhuru

fine or sunny - paki

cloudy - kāpuapua

rainy - hāuaua

SLJ Week 2 Wednesday

 Today I had to do the Jingle Bell activity. I wrote my words, then I practised and asked my uncle to record me singing and playing the piano.

SLJ week 2 Tuesdy

 Today's activity was super hard. The Pigpen cipher was easy but the Caesar cipher was super hard. I got a little bit of help from my aunty for the Caesar cipher activity but we think it we did it wrong.

 Today I had to read a story called Hana Koko. I read the story. It was so funny. I had to create my own santa costume.

For fun I dressed up as the Samoan Santa. Press play to watch.

Today I did a science experiment making a xylophone. I explain what I did in my screencastify. 

I also did the experiment using paper. I prefer the sounds the glass xylophone makes because it is louder and you can tell the difference in high and low pitch.

Today I was learning how to write comments on blogs. I have to write positive, helpful and helpful comments. 

I commented on Josh's blog. I like his blog post because the picture of the pancakes got my attention. My comment is a good quality comment because I was kind, I told Josh how I count syllables by clapping which is helpful and I was being kind because I said keep up the good work.

Maths Week Thursday challenge

 I finished the Maths Week Thursday challenge today it was so fun. Here is my certificate for today. I will do another one tomorrow.

The BFG

 My book I am reading at home is The BFG. My favourite author is Roald Dahl. The BFG is about Sophie and the Giant. He is a kind giant but other giants are mean to him. Sophie stays with the BFG in his cave. He looks after her and hides her when the bad giants come.

I like reading every night before I go to sleep.

Creative Writing

I went on a walk to lose some weight.

I can see a huge mountain it had snowfall over the mountain

I can hear birds chirping. Suddenly I hear footsteps nearby. It  Was a monster .The monster's name was Siren head. I can feel some touching me on my shoulder.

 I can smell my friend's perfume. It smelled good. Then I  fainted. I woke up I was in an abandoned street.

I was alone. My backpack was still on me.I got my raincoat out and it` was chill. I got my popcorn. It tasted like sea salt.

Winter is a cold season.

I am freezing when I go outside.

My uncle and I went fishing today and caught a snapper and a mullet. We like to go fishing because it is fun and we catch fish to eat for our family.

ANZAC Ted is a teddy bear who went to World War 1 and World War 2.

Last year we went to Wellington and we went to Te Papa museum to see the war display. It was fun to learn about what happened at war and to see the war people like soldiers and nurses and animals. I also like looking at the weapons.

 Panikeke are Samoan round pancakes. Today me and my aunty made some with:

flour
eggs
milk
baking powder
crushed pineapples

You have to fry them in a pot for some minutes. When they are brown then take them out.

Me and my brother were playing Speed. Speed is a game you play using cards. Each player has 20 cards. If you put all of your cards down first and say speed, you win the game.
