SLJ week 2 Monday

Today I did a science experiment making a xylophone. I explain what I did in my screencastify.

I also did the experiment using paper. I prefer the sounds the glass xylophone makes because it is louder and you can tell the difference in high and low pitch.

  1. Hi Reece,
Thank you for making such a great video showing off your glass xylophone and explaining the science behind why it sounds different when you tap it!
I also love your paper tube xylophone - you have shown amazing engineering skills with such a well build tube structure.
I can't wait to see the results of your next Nanogirl experiment!

  2. Talofa Reece!

Ben again from the SLJ commenting team.

Great work with your xylophone. And thank you for the explanation of the different pitches. They say that our ability to explain something to others is a sign of how well we understand something ourselves.

Did you have a try at making a melody with your xylophones? You could try playing mary had a little lamb like Lukah has in his blog.
